I have to start wth the magnets - they hold the pen on securely in normal use, though the small size of the Go means that you really have to position the pen with the 'nib' upwards, or risk it getting impacted or made dirty by being on the 'bottom' of your set-up. For an inductive stylus this is about par for the course, certainly one as well made as this, now with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, support for different drawing angles, 'left' and 'right' click buttons, plus magnets to hold it to the Go (or a compatible recent Surface Pro). The Surface Pen costs just under £100, though this drops to £85 if you shop around, plus you may manage to get it with a Surface Go as part of a bundle, so your mileage may vary. On my Surface Pro 7 (my primary device) I don't suffer from this issue. Maybe the issue commes from a Surface Go 3 driver or from Windows 11. I've deactived virtualization based security. Two devices with the same hardware failure? Quite improbable. The device is fine, I've already got a replacement model which has the same issue. Now I'm searching the cause of it's problem. That's why this issue could be unkown, because most people write in block letters. If I write block letters, I don't notice any lag.
With longer words the delay increases, to an amount where it feels very unnatural to write. My handwriting is cursive with little offset/few breaks. My installation of Windows is pretty clean, I've only installed five apps from the MS Store.
OneNote, OneNote for Windows 10, Paint 3D: all suffer from the same problem. Maybe you can relate to that/help me out. It's the same as the Go 2, just with a newer, more faster processor.Īlthough the rest is similar to previous models, I have a new issue which I hadn't with any Surface devices I used before.
